The Bella Voce Chorus opens our season performing bold contemporary works that have been featured in previous seasons. The program is expected to include Caroline Shaw’s and the swallow and How to fold the wind, Veljo Tormis’s Curse Upon Iron and Litany to Thunder, Ralph Vaughan William’s Three Shakespeare Songs and Silence and Music as well as works by Julia Wolfe, John Tavener, and Matthew Recio.

Bella Voce’s acclaimed presentation of  Handel’s Messiah returns in November. Conducted by Artistic Director Andrew Lewis, a chamber chorus and step-forth soloists join the period-instrument Bella Voce Sinfonia for an unabridged performance of Handel’s beloved masterpiece. Don’t miss Bella Voce’s one-night-only performance of Handel’s Messiah in Evanston.

The concert will last approximately 3 hours, including a 20-minute intermission.
